False Salute is a taunt used by Ling Xiaoyu since her debut in Tekken 3. Miharu Hirano also used this taunt in Tekken 4. The taunt is cancellable with any attack or movement.
Description[]
The taunt's animation is cancellable after its startup. From Tekken 3 to Tekken Revolution, Xiaoyu will always perform this move automatically when landing a counter hit Storming Flower, and Miharu would do the same.
If Yoshimitsu steals the move with Soul Stealer in Tekken 4, at close range he will actually knock an opponent down at the end of the taunt's animation. This will, however, not deal any damage.
