Tekken 7 Gallery

Theater Mode, more recently known as Gallery, is a mode in the Tekken series. This mode allows the player to access the every characters' prologue and epilogue. This mode can be unlocked after Story Mode is beaten once.

Theater Mode was replaced with Gallery in Tekken 6.

Description[]

Theater Mode was originally exclusive to the Japanese release of Tekken 2 as an Easter egg, where several buttons had to be held on the Player 2 controller while the PlayStation was booting the game. Theater Mode became a regular mode worldwide in Tekken 3.

In Tekken 3, Theater Mode allows the user to switch game discs if they also have Tekken or Tekken 2, allowing them to watch or listen to the intros, endings and music in those games.

The game's opening movie clips and two Embus in games such as Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 4 are also available to be viewed in this mode.

After the initial unlock, the players have to play story mode with each fighter to unlock their endings.

Until Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the stage music could also be played in its own music player, similar to the remastered Tekken Tunes feature now present in the game.

Tekken 6[]

In Tekken 6, the Scenario Campaign Theatre can be selected. This mode features the cutscenes during the storyline.

Tekken 7[]

In Tekken 7, the gallery includes the artwork, movies and endings of all fighters from Tekken to Tekken 7 that can be unlocked with fight money and by progressing through story mode.
