Lars is a muscular soldier with sandy brown hair that is spiked vertically along the sides and back. He has blue eyes and a scar over his left eye as well as a scar along his right cheek.
Tekken 6/Bloodline Rebellion[]
Player 1 outfit:
His first outfit consists of red and black Tekken Force body armor, along with a matching red and black cape segmented into three parts vertically with metallic arm guards and a metal lion chestplate.
- The cape in this outfit is briefly lost after the opening raid in Scenario Campaign. It is later worn again during Lars's infiltration into G Corporation and in his final fight against Jin Kazama outside Azazel's Temple.
- In the Tekken 6 version of this outfit, the sleeves are implied to stop just past the shoulder pads and be met with matching gloves down to the hand.
- The cape of this outfit is the same style of cape as Jin's Emperor's Mantle customization item in Tekken 6.
Player 2 outfit:
Lars's Player 2 outfit consists of a dark gray button-up shirt with lighter gray designs along the shoulders and upper back, as well as red gloves and a matching red belt with red and black shoes. He wears white pants with a lion design on the left leg that continues onto the right leg, and an ornate buckle that wraps around the front of the belt adorned with a lion's head design.
- This is the primary outfit Lars wears during Scenario Campaign while he is still suffering from amnesia, and is also seen at the end of Scenario Campaign during the scene where Lars entrusts Lee Chaolan with Alisa Bosconovitch's repair at Violet Systems.
Player 3 outfit:
Lars's hair becomes golden blond in this outfit, styled similarly to a chonmage with a metal ponytail holder and topknot shaped into a crescent moon. His hair spikes upwards along the right side and at the back only.
Lars wears a red kimono with black horizontal stripes, a black interior, and a white obi tied into a decorative knot that falls into three sections (similar to his Player 1 cape) that is adorned with a gold accessory at the knot. He wears a golden pauldron in the shape of a lion's head on his right arm, which is where his kimono sleeve changes from red to gold with black swirling patterns. There are matching patterns along his clawed gauntlets, greaves, knee guards, and leg guards, all of which are also golden in color. The collar of his kimono has three rings fastened at the back, and Lars also wears a large gold necklace that covers much of his chest.
- This outfit was designed by manga artist Masashi Kishimoto, and was later used for Lars's design as a guest character in Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.
- At the back of Lars's kimono is a black and white stylized "46", which serves as his clan symbol in Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and is also the country calling code of Sweden, Lars's country of origin.
Lars has two more customizable outfits which must be unlocked either via Scenario Campaign or purchased with in-game fight money.
- Down Vest and Boots: The first outfit is a down vest with a fur-lined hood and zipper paired with down boots and pants of varying colors that all bear a design on the pocket and a lion belt buckle.
- Riding Jacket: The second outfit consists of a zippered riding jacket with a simplified version of the devil mark (at this time the logo of the Mishima Zaibatsu) on the right sleeve, a turtleneck underneath, and paired with leather riding pants with designs along the sides and a belt with a lion emblem on the buckle. On his hands, Lars wears a pair of black gloves with red finger guards and a silver, metal plate on the back.
Street Fighter X Tekken[]
Player 1 outfit:

Swap Costume:
Lars's Swap Costume is based on Geki. He wears dark purple ninja garb with gold trim, modified to include his arm guards, greaves, and the straps along the side of the chestplate from his Tekken 6 Player 1 outfit. In this outfit his hair is fashioned into spikes and his bangs are held behind a purple headband. On his left leg is a knee guard in the shape of a lion's head.
Alternate Costume:
In his visual kei-inspired alternate costume, Lars wears a short, black, open leather vest with an open white shirt underneath and a loosely tied tie. He also wears black arm warmers that are belted at the top. His pants are tucked into his partially undone boots and covered by a shorter version of the cape from his Player 1 outfit which his held in place with two belts, one of which bears a lion's head design as the buckle. In this outfit, Lars's hair is mainly red with streaks of black. He also wears black nail polish and black eye liner.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2[]
Player 1 outfit:

His Player 2 outfit is a palette swap, replacing the red sections of his armor with blue and his cape with white instead of black.
Preset B outfit:
Lars's Preset B outfit consists of red karate pants with a lighter red kanji printed on them that says "relentless" (烈 retsu?), black obi, black foot guards, and purple and black fingerless gloves.
Preset C outfit:
In the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Lars has a 3rd costume based on Link from Twilight Princess. Alisa has a matching Zelda outfit.
- Racing outfit: Lars's riding jacket customization outfit from Tekken 6 makes a return in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 as unlockable parts, this time labeled as "race jacket and gloves" and "race pants".
- Swimsuit: His swimsuit DLC is a fundoshi and matching tabi that can be chosen in three different colors (black, red, and white). Lars also has available a swimsuit customization consisting of a pair of maroon swim shorts.
Tekken 7/Fated Retribution[]
Player 1 outfit:
In Tekken 7, Lars has a new main outfit. His body armor is black with gold and silver accents. A tattered red cape hangs from his left shoulder and is fixed beneath a black, gold, and silver lion pauldron. At his waist are four small containers, two on the left and another two at the right.
Lars wears this outfit during Story Mode, where he rescues Jin from the United Nations. He also carries a machine gun in this scene, and has an associated item move that he uses as part of his Story Assist.
Player 2 outfit:
Lars's Player 2 outfit is a palette swap of his primary outfit, replacing the black with red, the golden accents with black, and the silver accents with a darker shade of silver. His cape is now black with a visible rust-colored gradient at the ends.
Aside from his Player 1 and Player 2 outfits, Lars has 8 preset outfits that can be chosen or made via the customization screen, and a gold metallic outfit that is unlocked only by purchasing Tekken 7's Season Pass 1 DLC.
- Preset 1: Lars's Preset 1 outfit consists of a white gentleman's kimono with long sleeves and a dark red obi that is tied at the front. With this, he wears brown sandals with braided, purple straps.
- Preset 2: Lars's Preset 2 outfit is a more casual look consisting of a white vest with black shoulders and black buttons, a blue and dark blue plaid patterned button-up shirt, casual loose fitting jeans, and white shoes. This is his Kiwami Campaign outfit.
- Preset 3: Lars's Preset 3 outfit is a captain's attire. He wears a beige captain's hat with a black brim and red accent. On his top half is a long, double-breasted coat with a paludamentum fastened under a brown shoulder pad on his right shoulder. This has a belt fastened to a single belt loop of the coat, and underneath he wears a brown, collared shirt with a blue ascot that is tied with an emblem of a skull with a lion's mane. A gold braid is fastened at the lapels of the coat, which goes around his right arm. He also wears a belt around the waist with a buckle bearing the same design of a skull with a lion's mane, a golden pauldron in the shape of six skeletal, clawed fingers, and long gloves that are belted at the elbow. The front hem of his coat bears two, dark brown lion designs facing one another. His pants are double-buttoned at the front with a belt bearing the same skull design on the buckle, and his boots are a dark brown leather with folded cuffs.
- Preset 4: Lars's Preset 4 outfit was inspired by wrestler Hiroshi Tanahashi of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. It is wrestling attire consisting of an asymmetrical red, white, silver, and black sleeveless top with a lion's head design, silver wrestling leggings with a black lion on the left leg and a gold lion on the right leg, knee pads bearing the letter "T", and silver wrestling boots.
- On the back of the right leg of this outfit, the words "Trigged Screw" are printed. This is a misspelling of "Triggered Screw", the Japanese name of Lars's Lightning Screw.
- When equipped with this outfit, Lars's Rage Art will be altered, as well as his final round stage music.
- Preset 5: Lars's Preset 5 outfit is his Tekken 6 Player 2 outfit with a few minor differences. In this version, the gloves, shoes, and belt are a darker red, and the lion pattern on the pants is repeated on both the left and right leg.
- While this outfit is an optional customization in Tekken 7, it was previously worn as the main outfit during the arcade beta testing. Once the arcade version was fully released, his main outfit was changed to the current Player 1 outfit seen in Tekken 7.
- The pants for this preset change based on what shirt is currently equipped. When the shirt that is equipped with the default Preset 5 is worn, the pants will have the same lion design on both legs. When other shirts are worn or Lars is shirtless, the pants will appear as they were in Tekken 6, with a single lion on the left leg and the design continuing on to the right leg.
- This is the outfit Lars wears at the end of the reveal trailer for Noctis Lucis Caelum when the two go fishing together in the Jungle Outpost.
- Preset 6: Lars's Preset 6 outfit is a re-texture of his main outfit, with orange designs along the body and a red and white design on the cape.
- Preset 7: Lars's Preset 7 outfit is a re-texture of his Preset 5 outfit, with a red, floral printed shirt, black, spotted pants, a gray belt, and black gloves and shoes.
- Preset 8: Lars's Preset 8 outfit is the silver metallic version of his Preset 1 outfit, with a silver kimono, gold obi, and silver sandals with a gold braid.
Tekken 8[]
Player 1 outfit:
Lars's Player 1 outfit is an updated look consisting of a long, layered, white coat with straps along the front paired with gold buckles and gold rings, attaching them over hex-patterned panels at the front of the coat. The coat also has split tails with straps connecting each side of the splits held with more gold buckles, a dark blue interior, cuffs with gold, winged lions embroidered at the front, and a single strap with a gold buckle at the back of each cuff. Lars is also shown to wear a gold pauldron over his left shoulder consisting of a gold, wing-shaped design around a blue shield with gold laurel leaf designs over a glowing, teal mechanism in the shape of an infinity symbol. Connected to this is a golden lion emblem over his upper left chest with a silver face and similarly glowing eyes and mouth. This emblem is fastened over his coat with a white strap that has a large, silver buckle, as well as a black, leather strap which wraps around his upper left arm. Underneath his coat, Lars is shown wearing a blue shirt with gold lines along the collar as well as gold points at the end of the lapels, and a white cravat held with a large, gold, lion's head-shaped emblem. With this outfit, Lars wears matching white pants with a bronze buckle, a brown belt coming from his left hip, and two brown straps around his left, upper leg. He wears black and bronze armored boots over this, with white straps around the ankles, over the tops of the boot, and underneath the sole. Lars is also shown wearing black, leather gloves.
- This outfit has two alternate versions available in the Customize screen:
- TK8 Style (Alternate A): The outfit's sleeves are removed.
- TK8 Style (Alternate B): The coat, shirt, pauldron, and gloves are removed, making the outfit topless.
Player 2 outfit:
Lars's Player 2 outfit is a pallet swap of his Player 1 outfit, replacing the white sections of his coat with a deep red, the lining and inner sections with black, and his armor with gray and black. The blue light emitting from his pauldron is now yellow.
Default 3 outfit:
Lars's third outfit consists of a long white robe with fawn and bronze lion designs over the left shoulder and down the left side of the robe. This robe is worn over a black yoroi hitatare with silver and gold designs along the lower end of each leg, tucked into black, armored boots that are tied with purple fabric. The robe is tied at the waist with a red sash over a yellow sash, accompanied by a thin, dark brown leather belt with a gold buckle, and a purple string attached to a plate of armor hanging at his right hip. Under the black yoroi is a dark brown leather garment fastened over his chest and covering his left arm. With this outfit, Lars wears black wrist guards tied with more purple ribbons and black fingerless gloves that have armor over the back of each finger.
Default 4 outfit:
Like all returning characters, Lars's fourth outfit is his Player 1 outfit from Tekken 7.
