Alisa Bosconovitch (Japanese: アリサ・ボスコノビッチ Arisa Bosukonobicchi?, Russian: Алиса Босконович Alisa Boskonovitch) is a character in the Tekken series who was introduced in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. She is an android created by Doctor Bosconovitch, designed to look like his deceased daughter.

Biography[]

Alisa is an android created by Doctor Bosconovitch in the Bosconovitch Laboratory, a Mishima Zaibatsu facility that served as a hub for the organization’s military equipment development.[6] Alisa was created in the image of Doctor Bosconovitch's deceased daughter. Ten years prior to the first King of Iron Fist Tournament, Doctor Bosconovitch became absorbed in his work and did not notice how ill his daughter was. After being away from home for several days at work, Bosconovitch returned home to discover that his daughter had died. Consumed by grief, he isolated himself deep in Siberia and began attempting to make an immortal android replica of his daughter. He developed cold sleep technology to preserve the body of his daughter, and succeeded in creating a flexible metal alloy that was similar to human skin - however, before he could complete his work, he was captured by the KGB and forced to create robotic weapons for the Soviet (later Russian) military.[7]

Doctor Bosconovitch was later kidnapped by Kazuya Mishima and made head of the Mishima Zaibatsu’s research and development division, where he worked on perpetual engine technology and cold sleep machines.[8] He used the latter technology to preserve the body of his deceased daughter. Doctor Bosconovitch was later liberated from the Mishima Zaibatsu by Yoshimitsu, who funded Bosconovitch’s continued development of the cold sleep technology.[9]

At some point after the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Doctor Bosconovitch began working for the Mishima Zaibatsu (now under the control of Jin Kazama) again. In this time, he was able to complete the android replica of his daughter that he had begun developing years before. Alisa was created to be a bodyguard for Jin;[10] she was programmed with advanced combat abilities and equipped with built-in weaponry to make her suitable for this task.

During the war between the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation, Lars Alexandersson raided the Bosconovitch Laboratory with a squad of his rebel army. During the raid, he discovered Alisa ‘asleep’ in a pod. G Corporation also infiltrated the lab at this time and attacked Lars’s squad, killing everyone but Lars and leaving Lars with a head injury that resulted in amnesia.[11] As he rose from the ground after the attack, Lars activated Alisa’s pod, awakening her. The two took out the remaining G Corp enemies and then escaped the collapsing lab together. Alisa was reluctant to leave, as her ‘father had told her to stay there’.[12]

Alisa was able to scan the Mishima Zaibatsu’s database and informed the amnesiac Lars that, though he was dressed in standard issue Tekken Force armor, all trace of him had been wiped from the Zaibatsu’s records. She also discovered that an order had gone out to eliminate Lars on sight.[13]

The two began traveling with the intention of learning more about Lars’ identity. During their travels, they met Tougou, Lars’ lieutenant in the rebel army. Lars did not remember Tougou, but he was able to give he and Alisa the name ‘Heihachi Mishima’ as a lead.[14] They went on to meet Heihachi on one of his properties. During a confrontation between Lars and Heihachi, Lars’s memory returned to him, and he recalled that Heihachi was his father. Lars turned a gun on Heihachi, but Alisa placed herself between the two of them, telling Lars it wasn’t right to point a weapon at his father. The two left the property without any fatal violence taking place.[15]

Alisa and Lars later met Lee Chaolan, an estranged member of the Mishima family. While they were speaking with Lee, he received a distress call from Julia Chang, and asked Alisa and Lars to rescue her as a favor to him.[16] The two succeeded in rescuing Julia.

With his memory restored, Lars returned to the rebel army as its leader, and Alisa went with him. They enacted Operation Gemini - a dual strike on a Mishima Zaibatsu base, and a G Corporation base.[17] Following the operation's success, they progressed to attacking G Corporation’s main headquarters, Millennium Tower. At the main entrance to the building, Alisa and Lars were confronted by Anna Williams and a squad of G Corporation soldiers. Tougou and his men arrived to provide back-up.[18] With the G Corporation soldiers engaged by the rebel army, Alisa and Lars were able to pursue and defeat Anna. Kazuya Mishima, G Corporation’s shadow leader, emerged too, but Alisa and Lars failed to apprehend him.[19]

Alisa and Lars left the tower to discover that several members of Lars’ rebel army had been killed, and that Tougou was mortally wounded, dying shortly after Alisa and Lars reached him. Unbeknownst to Alisa and Lars, they were being watched covertly by Raven.[20] Alisa and Lars went on to hijack a Zaibatsu subway train to get to the Mishima Zaibatsu's Central Tower. Upon reaching the tower, the two of them were confronted by the robotic weapon NANCY-MI847J. Raven suddenly appeared and held NANCY-MI847J off, telling Alisa and Lars to go ahead and confront Jin.[21]

Nina Williams, Jin Kazama’s bodyguard, attempted to thwart Alisa and Lars’s infiltration, but was defeated by them. Jin emerged, and he and Lars fought, though neither one was able to defeat the other.[22] Jin went to leave, but not before instructing Alisa to ‘disable Safe Mode and then reboot’. Alisa did so and became hostile towards Lars, apparently having lost her memories of their time together. Jin revealed that Alisa was built to serve him and that he had been using her to monitor Lars's actions for the entirety of their time together. Jin gave the order for Alisa to kill Lars, and left the tower while Lars was forced to fight her.[10] Alisa was unable to defeat Lars, and she fled the tower to regroup with Jin.[23]

Alisa accompanied Jin to a temple in the desert, where Jin once again pitted her against Lars.[24] Lars was able to defeat her this time. As her system began to shutdown, Alisa’s memories of her time with Lars returned. She thanked him for treating her like a person before shutting down.[25]

Following his confrontation with Jin, Lars took Alisa to a Violet Systems facility owned by Lee. Lee said he would restore Alisa to working function in return for she and Lars doing him the favor of rescuing Julia.[26] Lee was able to bring Alisa back to full functionality. She was initially hostile towards him as her memory hadn’t been fully restored, but her memories slowly returned to her after a system restart.[27]

The Violet Systems facility was attacked by Mishima Zaibatsu forces.[28] After fighting off a Tekken Force squad, the two left for a different Violet Systems facility where she was reunited with Lars. The joy of their reunion was cut short by another attack by Tekken Force. Alisa, Lars and Lee were able to make a successful escape and relocated to another base.[29]

Alisa became troubled when thoughts of Lars started interrupting her thought processes and causing her temperature to rise. Believing these to be symptoms of an error in her system, she asked Doctor Bosconovitch to fix her. An update was applied, but no malfunction was found. Additionally, the programming that had allowed Jin to control her previously had been removed, giving her total freedom over herself. She chose to remain in the rebel army to fight at Lars’s side.[1]

Following the failure of Yggdrasil’s Operation Lightning (a strike intended to eliminate Kazuya Mishima), Alisa rescued Jin from beneath rubble on the battleground. A few days later, she saw Jin falter whilst training and went to assist him. She sat with Jin and told him that he was the hope of mankind. She was troubled by Jin’s willingness to kill Kazuya at the cost of his own life.[30]

Alisa attended the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8’s Asia Preliminary to monitor Jin and provide intel to Yggdrasil.[31] Later, she accompanied Yggdrasil to the next round of the tournament to help take out Kazuya.[32] When Kazuya assumed his True Devil form, Alisa assisted in stalling him to allow Jin time to escape.[33] Alisa survived this encounter, and travelled to Yakushima with Yggdrasil to fight against G Corporation’s forces. During the battle, Alisa scanned the island to locate Jin; she passed his location to Lars so that he was able to go and assist him. Alisa encountered Jack-8 on the battlefield and fought against the android. Jack-8 proved formidable, and Alisa was almost defeated before Asuka Kazama and Emilie de Rochefort intervened and finished Jack-8 off. Alisa detected the arrival of Devil Kazuya on Yakushima, but survived his subsequent attacks.[34]

Personality[]

Unlike most robots, Alisa possesses emotions and acts more like a human than a robot. She is a very kind-hearted individual who speaks in a polite manner and is sensitive to others' feelings. Alisa can also appear rather childish, resembling Ling Xiaoyu characteristically. She does not like to fight or hurt anyone, but when push comes to shove, she is a formidable fighter.

As a robot, she is very intelligent and often speaks in technical terms. In some situations, when people call Alisa a robot, she denies the fact and insists that she is a human being, though she does also speak of downloading and uploading content to herself and is aware that Doctor Bosconovitch created her. She was created to protect Jin Kazama, and as such, when she is commanded by him, she doesn't recognize Lars, and performs Jin's commands at full efficiency. Whilst Jin has full control of her, Alisa obeys his every command without any resistance, even attacking her friends and allies. As of Tekken 7, it seems that Alisa has been reprogrammed by Lee Chaolan, and no longer has to fulfill Jin's commands.

Appearance[]

Alisa is a graceful android with the appearance of a human teenaged girl. She has green eyes and medium-length half-dark pink and half-pink hair, styled in a short curled bob. Under Jin's influence, her eyes become red. Her body can transform to a degree, gaining wings from her back, and her arms transforming into chainsaws. She can remove and detonate her head and she also has thrusters at her heels that help her maneuver whilst airborne. She can also detach her hands at the wrist and launch them at opponents.

Outfits[]

Main article: Alisa Bosconovitch/Outfits

Alisa's primary outfit consists of a light and dark purple ombre dress with a slanted split down the front that ends in a back skirt, a white belt decorated with chains and three blue roses on the side, uneven black thigh-high stockings, one of which has a garter that connects to her short black shorts, white gloves covering her hands along with uneven, detached, purple sleeves covering her arms and white boots with black cuffs. Her breasts are covered in a crisscrossed, halter-like manner, with the strings securely attaching to a white-collar which has a blue rose on the left-hand side. She also has three flowers embedded into the hair on the right-hand side of her head. In some cutscenes in the Scenario Campaign, the three flowers which are embedded in her hair can commonly be seen falling off, either while she is under Jin's influence or being defeated by Lars.

Her second outfit consists of red shoes, white socks, a red sarafan (decorated with two horizontal stripes, one gold and one white, and an ornate vertical decoration), and white bracelets around her gloves' cuffs.

In Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, Alisa wears a new main outfit; she now wears a purple, white and pink turtleneck dress with three pink gems in the center, long white fitted sleeves and a frilled cyan underskirt, along with white gloves with gold outlines, purple stockings and white thigh-high boots with gold outlines. She also gains four spiked hair clips as opposed to the three flowers on the left-hand side of her head. Her jet packed wings have had a drastic change of appearance, and are now made of gold and have several spikes attached. The flames from her wings are now purplish-pink instead of purple.

Story[]

Tekken 6[]

Deep within a lush and thriving forest lies a heavily defended research facility. This facility was a research institute named after its director, Bosconovitch. This facility was very important, as it was here that the Mishima Financial Group's most sensitive military equipment was developed.

Located at the core of the research center was a room that kept its most prized possession: a clear capsule, in which a young girl slept soundly. Her name: Alisa Bosconovitch. She was created by Doctor Bosconovitch and designed to serve Jin Kazama.

Scenario Campaign[]

Alisa plays a big role in Tekken 6's canonical story, along with Lars. The full transcript of the story is found in Lars's Scenario Campaign dialogues.

The lab Alisa was being kept in is the target of a double raid by Yggdrasil and G Corporation, though on meeting each other, the forces wipe one another out. During the raid, an explosion rocks the laboratory, and Lars Alexandersson, the leader of the Yggdrasil rebel army suffers a blow to the head that leaves him amnesiac. He stumbles into a pod that is set off, and awakens Alisa. They ask who the other is, and, whilst Alisa introduces herself, Lars has no memory of who he is. One of G Corporation's Jack-6 robots attacks them and Alisa retaliates by using her chainsaws to cut up the Jack, showing her superhuman abilities and strength. The Jack is not fully defeated however, and gets up to attack her, Lars quickly reacts to pin the robot, and defeats it, and seems surprised that he too has military training. Lars gives Alisa his hand to help her get up and the two flee.

The two then go on a journey that leads them to many different places and encounters. Initially, their search is to help Lars rediscover his identity. They are approached by someone who claims to be Lars's second-in-command, Tougou. Though Tougou explains who Lars is to him, Lars says he cannot accept the responsibility to lead the rebel army until he remembers who he is. He and Tougou stay in radio communication as Lars continues to seek for answers.

When Alisa and Lars come to see Wang Jinrei, he warns Lars of Alisa possibly being dangerous, and encourages him to seek out Heihachi Mishima. Meeting Heihachi triggers Lars's memories, and he remembers that Heihachi is his birth father. All the rest of his memories also return. Heihachi suggests they join forces, but Lars declines and points a gun at his father. Alisa tries to intercede to stop him, but Lars shoots Heihachi anyway. Heihachi survives by catching the bullet between his teeth. Lars declares that Heihachi isn't worth his time and leaves.

Following this, Lars's main motivation is to search for Jin Kazama, as he has recalled that he was a member of Tekken Force, but led a coup when he could not longer abide by Jin's warmongering. His rebel force are ex-Tekken Force members seeking to bring down the Mishima Zaibatsu. Lars and Alisa meet Lee Chaolan, adopted son of Heihachi and thus foster brother of Lars. Lee provides Lars with information on Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, and offers them his help, but Lars says that he doesn't want to trouble him. Lee says that if he changes his mind, he will be glad to help. He then is able to enlist Lars to help him rescue a friend of his who has been spying for him on G Corporation but has had their cover compromised.

Lars and Alisa meet up with Tougou and the rest of Yggdrasil and Lars assumes command now that he has regained his memory. In an attack again G Corporation, Tougou is mortally wounded, and dies in Lars's arms. Lars and Alisa move on to attack the Mishima Zaibatsu and confront Jin Kazama.

Lars and Alisa finally reach the Zaibatsu, and battle their way to Jin. When they meet Jin, however, he orders Alisa to reboot. Lars doesn't understand what's happening, but Alisa confirms the command and obeys Jin. Jin explains that Alisa was designed to protect him. He commands her to fight Lars and tells Lars that he will talk to him only after he defeats Alisa, Jin then leaves. Lars tries to talk down Alisa, unwilling to fight her, but it soon becomes clear Alisa no longer recognizes him, and Lars must fight her. After defeating Alisa, Lars offers his hand to help her to get up and, for a moment, it seems like she recognizes him, but then she strikes him and flies away, dropping her flower-shaped hairpin. Lars picks it up and continues his journey without her.

Lars is joined thereafter by Raven, a UN operative who has been following their journey and helped them out earlier. Together, they travel to the Middle East, and are informed by a woman who's village was attacked by Tekken Force, that Jin is heading to a secret temple located in the desert. Within the temple, an ancient demonic entity known as Azazel has been awakened. Lars defeats the creature and he and Raven flee the collapsing temple.

Outside, Lars finds Jin. Lars is about to strike him when Alisa suddenly interrupts. Lars asks her if she really doesn't know who he is, to which she answers that he is an enemy. She attacks Lars and he is forced to fight her again. He defeats her and this time her system starts to shuts down. Lars approaches her and Alisa tells him that she never wanted to fight him, but she couldn't disobey. She says she wishes their journey had lasted longer and reaches out her hand. Lars hesitates and then reaches out to her, but Alisa shuts down.

Jin watches this all and mocks Lars for treating "a useless piece of junk" in that way. Lars gets angry, and Jin further mocks Lars's compassion for Alisa. Lars then fights Jin. At the end of the fight, Jin explains that he started the war in the hopes of dragging in Kazuya and causing enough destruction in the world to full awaken the demon Azazel. Jin had been hearing Azazel's voice in his head, explaining how to awaken him. Jin believed that awakening Azazel fully would allow him to kill the demon, rid himself and his father of the devil gene, and destabilize the world's corrupt governments and corporations, giving people a chance to rise up. Lars tells him he already defeated Azazel, but Jin explains only a devil gene wielder can truly kill the demon. Azazel appears from the rubble of his temple, and Jin attacks the demon, plunging them both into an abyss.

After everything is over, Lars places Alisa in his car and takes her to Lee Chaolan, who's company, Violet Systems, specializes in robotics. He asks Lee to help him and fix Alisa up, and Lee promises he will do it.

Tekken 7[]

An android created by Dr. Bosconovitch as a bodyguard for Jin Kazama. Her design itself is modeled after Bosconovitch's own lost daughter. Her fighting capabilities are extremely high. She can perform attacks with high mobility using arm-mounted missiles and thrusters.

Upon awakening, Alisa becomes very hostile at Lee and fights him. After being defeated, Alisa suddenly remembers who Lee is, but questions why she is at Violet Systems and what has transpired. With the help of Violet Systems' technology, Alisa regains her memories and desires to see Lars again. Suddenly, they come under attack from Tekken Force. Together, Alisa and Lee dispatch the soldiers and make their escape.

Arriving at another of Lee's facilities, Alisa is happily reunited with Lars, jumping on him and expressing her desire to see him again. After finding Jin lying in a coma, Alisa detects the approach of Tekken Force. Alisa assists Lars in holding back the soldiers before he orders her to protect Jin. However, Alisa is stopped by Nina Williams, who holds her off long enough to capture Jin. But, to Alisa and Lars' relief, Lee is piloting the helicopter that is carrying Jin. As Lee remotely destroys the facility, Alisa hastily flies away with Lars.

After Heihachi's death, Alisa is seen with Lars and Lee on the rooftops of a destroyed city, stating that various nations are facing invasion from Kazuya. They then watch as Jin readies himself to find and kill his father.

TEKKEN 8 — Alisa Reveal & Gameplay Trailer

Official Website Profile (English)
Alisa Bosconovitch is an android built for the sole purpose of protecting Jin Kazama, the former head of the Mishima Zaibatsu.

Designed to always abide by Jin's orders, Alisa's control over her own actions was temporarily overridden by her master, forcing her to engage in a battle to the death against Lars Alexandersson, despite her feelings for him. The battle caused her systems to shut down.

However, thanks to the efforts of Lars and others, Alisa is miraculously rebooted and is now a member of the rebel army.

Yet, Alisa noticed a worrying development. Information regarding Lars frequently interrupts her thought processes and causes her temperature to rise.

Believing it to be a critical malfunction, Alisa begs her creator, Dr. Bosconovitch, to fix her.

After a few weeks, she receives a major update and learns some surprising truths:

There was no malfunction to be found. What's more, the function that Jin had used to control her—such as when he commanded her to fight Lars—no longer exists.

"Go on, now. You are free. You may do as you like."

Dr. Bosconovitch gives her a gentle smile, and for a moment, Alisa thinks she sees a faint resemblance to someone she once knew. She smiles back.

As she flies home, she quietly makes a promise to herself: "This time around, I'll use my own free will... This time, I choose to fight at Lars's side."[1]

Tekken 8 - Alisa Character Episode Ending

Character Episode Prologue
Alisa Bosconovitch operates as a member of Yggdrasil, the rebel army led by Lars Alexandersson.

Recently, the frequency with which Lars graced her thought processes seemed rather illogical to the android.

Amidst her ruminations, The King of Iron Fist Tournament was announced to choose the next head of the Mishima Zaibatsu.

Once Lars decided to join, Alisa was adamant about participating in the tournament herself.

"If I defeat the strong ones, Lars is sure to win. For Lars... This is all for Lars..."

Ending Description
As the announcer declares Alisa the winner of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, she kneels by a fallen Lars's side, realizing that she had accidentally defeated him in her quest to aid him. Lars tells her that all that matters is that she won, and he is glad that she is safe. Lars then thanks her for achieving this goal with him, and when he holds her hand, Alisa begins to blush and forcefully pushes him away. Her embarrassment causes her head to pop off of her body, and as she tries to get her head back, Lars catches it where he is, still grounded. The proximity between them causes Alisa to panic more, and her head explodes, blowing the entire arena up. Alisa tearfully apologizes to Lars as he lies face-down in the remains of the arena, the hair on the back of his head burned off by the explosion in such a way that it now resembles Heihachi's.

Summary of In-Game Events
Alisa watches Jin training inside of a Yggdrasil hangar. When he appears to be having difficulty, Alisa flies down to assist him, helping him to stand. Jin thanks her for saving him after his confrontation with Kazuya Mishima several days prior, and Alisa responds that she only made the most obvious decision. Sitting next to him, she tells Jin that he is the hope of mankind, and that he should not take too much responsibility onto his shoulders.

The two arrive in the control room of Víðópnir to approach Lars and Lee, where Jin declares that he will be joining Kazuya's tournament. When Alisa hears Jin's intention to kill Kazuya, likely planning to die along with him, and regain his Devil powers by following the path of carnage, she appears visibly distraught.

During the early matches of the tournament, Alisa scans the participants, searching for a possible G Corporation assassin and reporting her findings to Lee. Upon seeing Reina in the arena, Alisa dismisses her as a person of interest. Once these matches have concluded, Alisa, Lee, and Jin meet with Leo and Niklas Kliesen, in order for the later to share his discovery on the origin of the Devil Gene and its use.

Alisa, Lee, Jin, Reina, Lars, Leo, and Niklas all gather in order to discuss the Devil Gene and Kazuya's mastery of it. They learn that the Devil power can be harnessed through strong emotions, namely desire, and Alisa proclaims that without said desire, they would have no hope of defeating Kazuya.

The tournament continues with the final matches occurring in Italy. Alisa is present during Yggdrasil and the United Nations' joint assault on the coliseum. Kazuya absorbs Azazel's power from Zafina, allowing him to become True Devil Kazuya, and Alisa along with Lars, Lee, Hwoarang, Victor, Claudio, and Reina remain in the coliseum to hold off Kazuya while Jin heads to Yakushima in order to regain his Devil ability.

Kazuya flees this battle after being weakened, and coordinates an attack on Yakushima in order to find and kill Jin. Amidst the battle, Alisa scans the island to locate Jin, who has gone with Xiaoyu to find the training ground where Jin and his mother once sparred. She relays this information to Lars and Lee, with Lars leaving the battle to them as he goes to find Jin.

A powerful weapon is deployed, and Alisa does battle with it after it effortlessly defeats several soldiers. Alisa is badly damaged and nearly falls in battle before Asuka and Lili arrive to finish off the Jack-8 and rescue her. After she thanks the two, she announces a familiar signal approaching, and the signal is revealed to be True Devil Kazuya flying overhead.

In the good ending, Alisa is shown standing next to Lee among a line of Yggdrasil soldiers as Lars walks between them, saluting.

Ending Description: Alisa is with Xiaoyu, Miharu and Panda at an amusement park. Suddenly, the girls spot a photo booth and excitedly rush over to it. Alisa, not understanding what it does, goes along with Xiaoyu and Miharu and has her photo taken, though keeps closing her eyes. Alisa decides to remove her head in order to stop her sensors from automatically reacting to the flash. Panda then joins in with the photo-taking. Outside the photo booth, a woman with a little girl can be seen running away upon seeing Alisa's body without a head.

Special Alliance Partners:

Project X Zone[]

Alisa appears as an assist character alongside the playable characters Jin, Xiaoyu and Heihachi in the crossover SRPG Project X Zone. She also appears as a boss fight in the game. Many of her pre-battle conversations with the other characters involve her taking off her head.

Tekken Revolution[]

Alisa appears in Tekken Revolution as an unlockable character.

Gameplay[]

Alisa is an average character. Most of her attacks are very powerful (especially her chainsaw attacks), as well as very fast, although some of her moves are tricky to execute: her Bull Shoot requires the player to quickly move the correct buttons and must be paired up with timing to be executed effectively and her Sand Box requires good timing as the player can only do this attack immediately after hitting the opponent in the front. Overall, she is a pressure-heavy character, with fast pokes and good low attacks.

Her long-range attacks (i.e her Rocket Punch) can be very useful for hitting enemies that are distancing themselves. Her attacks that are paired up with her Reboot command are also very powerful, knocking over and sometimes sending them flying up in the air. Their main flaw, however, is that they can be easily sidestepped.

Fighting Style[]

Alisa's fighting style (referred to as "Unique" in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and later referred to as "High Mobility Combat" in Tekken Revolution and later Tekken games) appears to incorporate dance into some of her moves, similar to Lili's fighting style.

Alisa has a mechanical device built into each of her lower legs. These are extra thrusters used for steering during flight, as seen in the Scenario Campaign cinematic 16 Battle in the Sky (her ending in the PlayStation Portable version), and to power up her kicks. Alisa is also able to sprout butterfly wing-like jets from her back, allowing her to briefly fly at great speed during fights, sprout chainsaws from her arms (this is one of her stances, "Destroy Form"), and remove her head during moves, such as one of her grapples, "Spam Bomb".

Character Relationships[]

  • Doctor Bosconovitch - Alisa was created by him in the image of his deceased daughter, who had the same name. She talks fondly of Doctor Bosconovitch and mentions many lessons he has taught her.[36] Doctor Bosconovitch created her in a secret laboratory overseen by a secret service division of the Mishima Zaibatsu, personally headed by Jin Kazama. In the non-canon Tekken: Blood Vengeance, she mentions wanting to find Doctor Bosconovitch as part of her embedded programming. She always refers to him as her "father".
  • Lars Alexandersson - Her friend and ally, and possible romantic interest (as hinted). After Jin reboots her (in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion), she attacks Lars on two different occasions and is eventually defeated. Before shutting down she tells Lars that she didn't want to fight him, but she couldn't disobey. Lars takes her body to Violet Systems to be repaired and revived. In Tekken 7, they reunite with each other. Lars is also her partner in Street Fighter X Tekken, where they seem to work well together and are in a good relationship.
  • Jin Kazama - Her master; she internally programmed to serve and protect him. She unknowingly works as his spy for most of Tekken 6.
  • Lee Chaolan - In the Scenario Campaign story, he allied with Alisa and Lars. At the end of the story, Lee used his company, Violet Systems, to help with the repairs of Alisa's programming. Lee successfully repaired Alisa in Tekken 7, but Alisa turned hostile towards him when Lee mentions her system being damaged; they fought and Lee defeated her, and they become allies with Lars when protecting Jin Kazama.
  • Nina Williams - Nominally her ally whilst she is under Jin's control in Tekken 6. Once Alisa was repaired in Tekken 7, Nina became one of her enemies. Nina attempted to kill her with a grenade, but Alisa returned and fought her again as payback. Her employer in the non-canon Tekken: Blood Vengeance.
  • Heihachi Mishima - She tried to prevent Lars from shooting him in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, although this was primarily out of concern for Lars. In the non-canon Blood Vengeance, she sacrificed herself to defeat Heihachi. She also appears, protecting him from Feng Wei and Miguel Caballero Rojo, in the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 arcade intro (non-canon).
  • Kazuya Mishima - Her enemy in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, as she works with Lars to undermine both the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation. Also her enemy in her capacity as Jin's spy. In the non-canon Tekken: Blood Vengeance, Kazuya crushes her in half in when she tries to protect Jin (whilst he was in Devil form).
  • Lei Wulong - Acquaintance of Lars and Alisa in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. He also helps them after being saved by them from the G Corporation.
  • Tougou - Her ally in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, who died at the Millennium Tower.
  • Bryan Fury - They were both worked on by Doctor Bosconovitch and are considered by him to be his creations. Bryan and Alisa met in Scenario Campaign, though Doctor Bosconovitch was not mentioned. Alisa seems unaware that Bryan is responsible for injuring her father.
  • Emilie De Rochefort - She gave Lars and Alisa her old SUV to aid them in their travels. In the Online Tekken Comic, she has her limousine destroyed (sliced in half by Alisa's chainsaws). She also tries to protect Asuka from Alisa with the help of Leo and, later, Bob (non-canon).
  • Anna Williams - As a G-Corp employee, Anna is her enemy in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. She is also her enemy in the non-canon Tekken: Blood Vengeance.
  • Ling Xiaoyu - Her best friend in Tekken: Blood Vengeance, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Project X Zone (non-canon).
  • Panda - Her friend in Tekken: Blood Vengeance and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (non-canon).
  • Shin Kamiya - Her friend and high school crush in Tekken: Blood Vengeance (non-canon).
  • Miharu Hirano - Her friend in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (non-canon).
  • Bob - He saved Asuka from being killed by Alisa in the Online Tekken Comic (non-canon).
  • Asuka Kazama - Alisa destroyed Lili's limousine in order to apprehend and kill Asuka in the Online Tekken Comic. She later makes up with her, telling her the real purpose of her mission, and then cheerfully apologizing for the troubles she has caused (non-canon).
  • Josie Rizal - Her classmate in Pachislot Tekken 5 (non-canon).

Quotes[]

Trivia[]

General:

  • Alisa's name is the Russian form of the name "Alice". It originally comes from the Old French (Aalis), and can be traced to the Germanic name "Adelaide", meaning 'noble type'.
  • Alisa is the robotic clone of Doctor Bosconovitch's deceased daughter (whose name was also Alisa), but with self-defense enhancements and fighting skills.
    • According to Katsuhiro Harada, whilst Doctor Bosconovitch claims he made the android Alisa in his daughter's image, everyone who has seen the doctor's daughter says: "She doesn't look like Alisa at all".[37]
  • Despite being a robot, Alisa can eat food, and in fact has more finely tuned abilities to taste (or analyze taste) than a human. This is shown in her less-than-stellar review of Marshall Law's cooking in Tekken 6 Scenario Campaign.
  • Harada stated that, as a robot, Alisa is not interested in having (romantic) relationships and encounters a computer error at the idea. She also bugs out like this if left in sunlight for too long, and has a chip that is gradually deteriorating, and may not be able to be repaired or replaced.[38]
  • Harada also stated that the process of making Alisa was somewhat unique and came from original ideas from the development team, and was uninfluenced by public surveying - a more usual method that influenced character design. The originality of her design was praised within the company.[39]
  • The flowers that she wears in her hair are daisies, a symbol of innocence; this being an important trait of Alisa's personality.
  • Despite being Russian, Alisa speaks Japanese. This is likely because although she was made by Russian scientist, Doctor Bosconovitch and based on his daughter and given her name, Alisa was made in a Mishima Zaibatsu lab to serve Jin Kazama. She responds to the commands that Jin gives, all of which are given in Japanese.
  • In Tekken 6 Scenario Campaign dialogues, Alisa sometimes denies being a robot, claiming she is a human. However, in the canonical endings, she doesn't hide being a robot, and even in Scenario Campaign, she refers to her robotic abilities, including remote hacking, scanning, downloading information from Zaibatsu servers etc. Alisa appears to categorize what it means to be human differently, and doesn't see her artificial origins as an obstacle to considering herself to be human.
  • As with Yoshimitsu's sword attacks, Alisa's chainsaw attacks are also blockable.

Tekken 6 and Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion:

  • Alisa can be customized to resemble KOS-MOS v.3 from Xenosaga Episode III.
  • Alisa appeared in the Tekken 6 story trailer fighting alongside Lars Alexandersson, displaying some of her moves. She was also introduced in the promotional and exclusive trailer (Who's your favorite fighter?) fighting against Sergei Dragunov, Wang Jinrei, Bruce Irvin, and Christie Monteiro.[40][41]
  • Alisa appeared in the Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion intro fight posing on a TV in the train which Xiaoyu is aboard.
  • In the Korean arcade version of the game, Alisa's chainsaws are changed into energy beams reminiscent of lightsabers, and she can't remove her head, though all of her moves remain intact.
  • Holding 1+2 during Alisa's That was entertaining. win pose causes her head to fall off as she bows. This feature returns in all subsequent installments.
  • Pressing 1 or 2 during Alisa's win poses, the player can make her chainsaws come in and out of her arms.
  • By pressing 1+2+3 before the fight, Alisa's pre-fight animations are shown (Must we really fight? and Please get out of my way!) while she is holding her head.
  • She is one of the lead protagonists in Tekken 6 'story mode': Scenario Campaign.
    • She accompanies the canonical protagonist Lars Alexandersson through most stages in the game, until she switches sides and becomes a boss he has to defeat.
    • When the player selects a different character as player 1, Alisa will accompany them through the story.
      • For this reason, Alisa has the most number of unique dialogue lines of any characters in Scenario Campaign.
    • Alisa also has her own player 1 playthrough of Scenario Campaign. When she is picked, the character that accompanies her through the stages is Lars Alexandersson.
  • Alisa usually does not use word contractions when she speaks, however, in Scenario Campaign, she uses a few of them. This also occurs in Project X Zone.
  • If Hwoarang performs his baseball bat Item Move on Alisa, her head will fly off.
  • As the PSP version of Tekken 6 has no Scenario Campaign, Alisa and Lars have their own Story Mode (which is the PSP counterpart to Arena Mode). Alisa's opponents include the following: Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Azazel and Lars Alexandersson. This makes her the only character to encounter Jin at Stage 1.
    • Alisa's 'ending' in the PSP version is the cutscene from Scenario Campaign where she fights a helicopter in front of the ICPO Branch Office.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2:

  • She shares special win poses with Lars, Xiaoyu, Doctor Bosconovitch, Jack, and Mokujin.
  • Her Item Move allows her to create a protective barrier.
  • While using Alisa's second costume, it is possible to fire a gigantic rocket by pressing b+1+4. This move is similar to her double rocket punch, but instead a single, gigantic rocket is fired. However, the disadvantage of using this move is that it has a slow startup and recovery time.
  • Dr. Bosconovitch has an item move that resembles an Alisa plastic head (or bobblehead). The item move operates the same way as Alisa's Spam Bomb grab. The head has a puppet mouth that opens and closes automatically with two sparkling eyes.
  • There is a ghost of Alisa using the same player id as Japanese player, Ao.
  • As of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Alisa is the only character who has an as-of-now incomplete school uniform, having only the skirt in Unlimited.
  • Her ending is the sixth scene of the interconnected endings between Asuka, Lili, Miharu, Kuma, Panda, and Xiaoyu.
    • Alisa appears briefly as a bystander in Lili's ending.
  • She also appears in Sergei Dragunov's ending, being assembled by him in his military office, but ends up exploded after the latter presses the missile on her leg.
  • Alisa is portrayed by Michelle Ballee and Amandine Desprez in the "Girl Power" trailer and the live-action short film respectively.
  • Alisa makes a cameo appearance in the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Short Live Action Movie where she is portrayed by Amandine Desprez.
  • Although Netsu data provides non-canonical information, it is possible that Alisa's negative netsu with Bryan Fury might imply that she knows he injured Dr Bosconovitch.

Street Fighter X Tekken:

  • The rocket punches Alisa uses in her Super Art is a reference to Tekken: Blood Vengeance, where she shoots a rocket punch directly towards Heihachi in his ogre-like demonic form.
  • Her Cross Art is that she takes her head off and uses it as a bomb and then says goodbye. She also does it with an external bomb, however.
  • Alisa's "Swap" outfit in Street Fighter X Tekken sees her wearing Juri's main outfit.
  • It is heavily implied that Alisa is battery powered, and she requires electricity to run lest she become dazed and tired. In the non-canon movie Tekken: Blood Vengeance Alisa is also shown to need charging up via a wall socket.

Tekken 7:

  • In the Rage and Sorrow trailer for the console release, Alisa is seen sparring with Lee before teaming up to stop Tekken Force. She is also seen wielding a Gatling gun to take down the soldiers instead of her bionic missiles that she uses in the game.

Tekken 8:

  • Prior to her actual reveal, Alisa was among the characters leaked during the Closed Beta Test. Additionally, a small part of her CG art was also leaked on October 2023 alongside a new, unnamed mode.
  • Alisa's rank in Yggdrasil is Captain, as stated in the propaganda on Lars' ending.
  • The kick Alisa performs in her Rage Art resembles a kick used by the character Tsubasa Ozora, the main protagonist of the manga/anime series Captain Tsubasa. Bandai Namco Entertainment has also published a game based on this series: Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions.
  • Alisa has a special intro with Jack-8.
    • Alisa will attempt to greet Jack-8 only for her head to fall off. When Jack-8 picks up Alisa's head, she asks for him to return it, and Jack-8 promptly does so by hurling it back into place.

Other:

  • Alisa features significantly in one of the Tekken Pachislot 4 stories, set during the time frame of Tekken 7. She and Lars Alexandersson team up with Lee Chaolan to gather information on the Mishima Zaibatsu and to try and take down Heihachi Mishima.
  • Alisa appeared in the official Online Tekken Comic released by Namco and Ultra Jump Egg. In the comic she attacks Asuka Kazama as a way to test her. Alisa destroys Lili's limousine in order to apprehend and kill Asuka, but eventually spares her after she fulfills all the conditions that Alisa was programmed to end the test for. Later on, she manages to "convince" Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima to accept a ceasefire between the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation by disabling all their satellites and threatening them with the destruction of Mishima Zaibatsu and other buildings in a 10-kilometer radius (with a neutron bomb implanted into her head by Doctor Bosconovitch) in case they don't comply.
    • In the comic, Dr. Bosconovitch bestows Alisa with a mission to save humanity from the Mishima war and the evil from the world (a mission she partially completed). She is described by him as a "flower of hope" for mankind, this being said when he puts a daisy (a trademark of Alisa) on her head.
    • Also in the comic, before her appearance, she was rumored (by Asuka's friends, colleagues and the locals) to be the "Shinkashi (Bullet-train) Woman" from Osaka (not knowing who she really was in reality).
  • In the Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown collaboration event with Tekken 7, Eileen can be dressed up as Alisa.[42]
