Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited Global Championship '13 Logo

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited Global Championship '13 is an upcoming worldwide tournament. It was announced on August 7, 2013. The scheduled date of the tournament is October 26, 2013 and will be held in Incheon, South Korea. This is the 2nd and latest Global Championship since the Tekken 6 Global Championship Final.

Reason for Location

In South Korea, there is an online gaming league called E-sports (Electronic sports). It is a thriving community where many players can play competitively amongst each other. South Korea also has many professional players which are fit to compete at a tournament level either at home or abroad (after all, the winners of the last Global Championship were two South Korean males). It can be said that South Korea is at the world's highest level.

In addition, there will be an airing of a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited TV program to rival the popularity of the South Korean competitive gaming TV program Tekken Strike (broadcasted on Internet TV via NICEGAMETV Network).

In order to have all players experience the strongest level of play, the tournament will be held in South Korea.
