Yoshimitsu is the only character who is always changing his appearance since the first Tekken. He always wore different masks and wears traditional attires such as both a ninja and a samurai. But other of his outfits has him wearing a different armor as his second outfit.


Tekken Yoshimitsu Art

Yoshimitsu's outfits in Tekken.

Player 1 outfit:

Yoshimitsu wears a white and silver styled samurai armor with a red trim, white pants with a red trim and black obi and a matching boots and gloves. Yoshimitsu also wears a mask to conceal his face and his hair appears red similar to Kunimitsu's and wields his sword, Yoshimitsu.

Player 2 outfit:

It is the same as in his first outfit but in a gray and black genji armor in a blue trim and his pants are black and wears matching gray and black traditional thigh-high genji boots.

Tekken 2

Yoshimitsu now wears a mask that briefly show his mouth as part of his primary attire which it was also seen in his ending where he rescues Dr. Bosconovitch. He also gains a prosthetic left hand and takes his unarmored appearance due to his skin-tight armor that he wears from his first outfit.

Player 1 outfit:

Yoshimitsu now wears a brown turtleneck along with a gray skin-tight armor which it reaches through his arms with a matching shoulder pads, a light green traditional pants with a red sash and a traditional brown, gray and red boots. He also wears a brown, gray and red ninja gloves and his brown headgear appears similar to a large bowl with two light blue round ornaments and purple ribbons in each sides. His mask appears as a demonic mask with sharp teeth.

Player 2 outfit:

Yoshimitsu now wears a silver armor suit with pale yellow accents and has a black kanji in each sides of his armor and wore a different mask. His sword Yoshimitsu is now glowing in red while wielding it.

Tekken 3

Yoshimitsu's outfits in Tekken 2 are finally updated as his sword Yoshimitsu is finally glowed like from his Player 2 outfit.

Player 1 outfit:

His updated primary outfit in Tekken 2, as his traditional pants is now black and the red sash are replaced with an obi. His armor and boots are now pale yellow and wears a monstrous full mask. His sword Yoshimitsu is now glowing in green. This is his iconic outfit of the series.

This appearance is later used in his crossover appearances.

Player 2 outfit:

His secondary outfit in Tekken 2, his armor now gains its first notable change and appears in a full-clad of knight armor which is white and gray and his full mask appears in a knight motif with a red feather at the center of his head . His sword Yoshimitsu remains glowing in red.

He wears a different style of red armor and a different full mask which it later adapts as part of his primary outfit in Tekken 6.

It's the same as in Player 2 outfit but it was recolored into gold.

For the first time Yoshimitsu changes his full-clad appearance throughout the games.

Player 1 outfit:

Yoshimitsu now wears a full-clad of maroon insect armor suit as both his gold gloves and boots appear demonic and wears a matching helmet similar to his Player 2 outfit in Tekken 2 and a skull mask to conceal his face. He also gains an insect-like wings on his back which he uses for flight and his sword Yoshimitsu remains green.

Player 2 outfit:

His outfit is the same as in the first Tekken but was updated, His long red hair is finally worn loose and wears a white and gray traditional samurai armor with a demonic design at the back, black traditional pants and a demonized samurai-esque boots. His mask is the same as his previous mask from the first Tekken.

Tekken 5/Dark Resurrection

Player 1 outfit:

Yoshimitsu now wears a yellow and green traditional style of genji armor which resembles a skeletal like appendages and it glows in a red hue, a matching green genji greaves with a light blue rope tied on his waist, a red hakama with golden designs and a matching yellow and green traditional genji boots. He also wears a red and yellow genji gloves and a yellow large designed half-mask to show his demonic face as the half-mask itself glows in a light blue hue and has long tentacles at the back of his mask which it was glowing in a red hue like his armor. In the updated version, the color of his armor is red and his large half mask is orange the hues from his skeletal armor and tentacles are neon aqua and his traditional pants are brown instead of red.

Player 2 outfit:

His primary outfit in Tekken 2, but with additional changes, his traditional pants are dark green, his armor now matches with his red gloves, and his boots became silver. His bowl-styled headgears now has ofuda in each sides of his headgear and his mask is now changed with his eyes are glowing red. In the updated version, his pants are green and his armor and boots became silver plated.

Player 3 outfit:

Yoshimitsu's skin became blue with several eyes and wears a white traditional loin cloth and fights barefoot and wields a different sword.

Tekken 6/Bloodline Rebellion

Tekken6 Yoshimitsu P1 Outfit

Yoshimitsu's primary outfit in Tekken 6.

Yoshimitsu gains a new sword Fumaken as his secondary weapon to counter the effects from the cursed power from his main weapon, Yoshimitsu. Yoshimitsu appears similar to the ones in Tekken Tag Tournament as described below and the skeletal designs from his armor are just like his appearance in Tekken 5.

Player 1 outfit:

Yoshimitsu now wears a red samurai-esque armor with skeletal designs and has red large shoulder pads with two long tails on the left side and two rounded kanjis in each sides. Underneath his armor is a purple turtleneck shirt, a red demonic greaves with a skull emblem at the center along with large ornaments, purple traditional pants and a skull designed samurai-esque boots with spiked toe caps. He now has a sheath from both of his swords in each sides when he fights barehanded. He also wears a full skeletal mask with its eyes are green.
Tekken6 Yoshimitsu P2 Outfit

In his ending, his eyes became red when he touches the Azazel's Orb and his main weapon Yoshimitsu finally shows it's cursed power which it glows in a purple haze.

Player 2 outfit:

Yoshimitsu now wears a sleeveless armor with a purple long sleeve Chinese-style tunic with a red and silver ninja gloves and has shred at the hem of his tunic which is tucked by a traditional rope on his waist, a red traditional pants and a black and gold traditional boots. He has a large round design on his back and wears a different headgear and the skeletal mask from his Player 2 outfit in Tekken 5.

In the Scenario Campaign mode and as a secret boss character in Kigan Island, Yoshimitsu wears this outfit.

Street Fighter X Tekken Yoshimitsu Swap Costume

Swap Costume:

Yoshimitsu's Swap Costume is based on M. Bison and he wears his signature red Shadaloo uniform similar to a trenchcoat which later became as Bison's current main outfit in Street Fighter V. His shoulder pads, gauntlets and boots are pale blue and wears a golden Shadaloo mask as his eyes are in a glowing white. His sword Yoshimitsu is now glowing in sky blue while wearing the outfit.

Street Fighter X Tekken Yoshimitsu Alternate Outfit

Alternate Costume:

Yoshimitsu wears an outfit similar to his primary attire in Tekken 5 but with changes; The skeletal designs appear glowing in red to make him look like in shirtless and his genji armor appears similar to a long trenchcoat and has black wraps to cover both of his arms and has shreds at the back of his coat. He also retains the rope on his waist which is now yellow and wears a black and blue traditional pants with black wraps on his left thigh and a matching black and blue samurai-esque open-toed boots with red and yellow straps on each leg. He also wears a glowing red skeletal mask to match his armor with black wraps to cover his right eye.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Tekken Tag 2 Yoshimitsu

Yoshimitsu finally changes his appearance yet again and his outfit is a combination between both of his outfits in Tekken 6.

Player 1 outfit:

Yoshimitsu now wears a red and gold samurai-esque suit of armor with gold and black greaves, a black and white traditional pants and a red traditional boots with a gold outlines with spiked toe caps. He also gains a large round design at the back of his armor and wears a red traditional demonic mask.

  • His customizations are just like the previous one as it focuses on more of his traditional Japanese attires. He can also customized to resemble both of his Soul Calibur counterparts such as Yoshimitsu and Yoshimitsu II.
  • His swimsuit DLC is almost all of the male characters except Lee, Bob, Wang and Ganryu. He wears a pair of Fundoshi and a matching wrestling boots but it can chose in three default colors. This appearance can see Yoshimitsu's demonic bare skin which it was concealed from his outfit.

Tekken 7/Fated Retribution

Yoshimitsu in Tekken 7.

Yoshimitsu now appears in a squirmy-like appearance. In both his and Leo Kliesen's character endings, Leo mentions him due to his squirmy appearance and even calls him as a weird octopus after the latter does a CPR to her.

Player 1 outfit:

He now wears a red and white skeletal armor with a skull greaves with a capri blue cloth on his greaves. His shoulder pads now have a glowing round design in each sides and at the back resembles an octopus tentacles along with both his armor and gloves. He now wears a white and red full gloves that reaches to his shoulder, dark blue traditional pants with a glowing light green within his gold round designs and a skull design traditional demonized boots. His full mask is now red with two large tentacles in each sides at the back and the eyes of his helmet glows in light green. His appearance resembles a human octopus.

  • His customizations are the same as in the male characters but also retains other traditional attires. One of his customizations has him to wear a shark designed full mask to make his appearance resemble a human shark.
